The delegation of Rostechnadzor took part in the ХII meeting of Interstate Industrial Safety Council (IISC)

DSC06390.jpgOn 16-17 September 2014, the ХII Meeting of Interstate Industrial Safety Council (IISC) took place in the city of Nakhchivan (Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Azerbaijan).

The Meeting was attended by members of the Council and authorized representatives to MSPB of Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, and the Secretariat of the Convention on the Transboundary Effects of Industrial Accidents.

Emergencies Deputy Minister of Azerbaijan Gadzhiev Orudzhali Mamed ogly and Emergencies Minister of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan Abdullaev Shamy delivered a welcoming address to the participants of the Meeting.

In accordance with the agenda, the Chairman of Rostechnadzor informed the participants about the activity of Rostechnadzor in the period under review, changes to the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of industrial safety, and implementation of approaches to state control and supervision over hazardous industrial facilities.

Similar information was presented by the delegation heads of each Member-State to the ХII Meeting of IISC.

As a result, the Member-States agreed on the following:

- to support the proposal of the Russian Federation to develop an approved list of regulatory and technical documents concerning safe mining recommended for use in industrial safety regulation;

- to conduct a comparative and legal analysis of legal and regulatory system in the field of supervision of the safety of pressurized equipment.

The participants decided to exchange information on the methodology of exercising state supervision over industrial safety at hazardous industrial facilities, and approved the Key Activities Plan of the Council for the period through to 2017 and other documents.

The next IISC meeting is to be conducted in Kazakhstan.
