The IAEA and Rostechnadzor will hold and International Workshop on Regulatory Control of Nuclear Legacy Sites and Radioacive waste Management in Moscow, Russian Federation
The International Atomic Energy Agency and Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia will hold International Workshop on Regulatory Control of Nuclear Legacy Sites and Radioacive waste Management in Moscow, Russian Federation, from 19 to 21 November 2014.
The workshop will be of particular interest to persons involved in establishing a national strategy and legal framework; to those involved in planning and implementing the remediation of legacy nuclear facilities, and to persons from regulatory bodies evaluating such remediation plans in a licensing process and controlling remedial operations. This workshop is part of a series examining national strategies and regulatory approaches to addressing legacy sites, with the aim of reducing radiological risks and hazards.
Experts from organizations involved in planning and implementing or regulating and controlling remedial activities associated with legacy sites will attend the forthcoming event.
