Alexey Aleshin Held a Meeting with Entrepreneurs
28.04.2015 On April 27, 2015, Alexey Aleshin, Chairman of Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor), had a business breakfast with the Leaders Club, an entrepreneurs’ association. Participants discussed issues concerning industrial safety in the modern context and other topics of interest.
Rostechnadzor makes best efforts towards the implementation of the state policy that is aimed at ensuring industrial safety and protection against manmade hazards. Participants considered the current state of the industrial safety system and evaluated provisional results from most significant legislative changes which had been adopted and come into force recently.
The Chairman made it clear that a main task within Rostechnadzor’s current work is the application of the risk-informed model of supervisory activity. Such task has utmost importance in the light of the present-day economical environment. The said model provides for decreasing burden on business not in prejudice of industrial safety.
Entrepreneurs, in turn, made some points as regards making better communication with the Service and voiced a number of proposals for improving the legal framework. Furthermore, all the participants admitted the importance of such meetings and stressed the need in further close cooperation on industrial safety matters.
