Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority visits Rostechnadzor

The delegation of the Petroleum Safety Authority of Norway headed by Director General Anne Myhrvold visited Rostechnadzor HQ on September 16 and 17, 2015.
The parties shared information about today’s regulatory trends in the area of industrial safety in marine oil facilities in the Arctic and discussed issues related to the development of regulatory documents in the same area. The representatives of the Petroleum Safety Authority also visited the Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University and met with its chancellor Viktor Martynov. The Norwegian delegation got acquainted with the work of the drill fluids laboratory, formation drilling and well injection laboratory, marine drilling simulator, international training centre for prevention of oil and gas gushers, and the Field Development Control Centre. The parties reconfirmed mutual interest in further interagency cooperation in the area of control and supervision of industrial safety in the oil and gas complex facilities and agreed to appoint the dates and place of the next bilateral meeting in the regular course of business. |
