Rostechnadzor Delegation Takes Part in Interstate Industrial Safety Council
The Rostechnadzor delegation headed by State Secretary – Deputy Chairman Alexander Rybas took part in the 14th Session of the Interstate Industrial Safety Council (IISC) which took place on September 14th and 15 in Cholpon-Ata, the Kyrgyz Republic.
The session was attended by the members of the Council and authorized representatives to the IISC from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the Secretariat of the Convention on Transboundary Effects of Industrial Accidents.
The heads of the delegations of all the countries participating in the 14th Session of the IISC exchanged information on the developments in the law of their countries in the area of industrial safety in hazardous production facilities and their related activities that had taken place over the past year.
The Rostechnadzor delegates also reported on:
- comparative analysis of state regulation of industrial safety and technical regulation in explosion and fire hazardous facilities for storage and processing of vegetable stock in the IISC member countries; and
- requirements to the expert organizations acting in the area of industrial safety in the Russian Federation.
The session participants were informed about updates of the IISC website and experience related to coverage of industrial safety issues in Work Safety in Industry bulletin.
The session participants approved the IISC work plan for 2016 and 2017.
Memorandum between Rostechnadzor and the Department for Supervision of Safe Conduct of Work in Industry of the Ministry of emergencies of the Republic of Belarus on the issues of cooperation in the area of industrial safety, and Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding between Rostechnadzor and the State Inspectorate of Environmental and Technical Supervision under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic were signed in the course of the IISC session.
Dmitri Yakovlev, Head of the Legal Department of Rostechnadzor, was awarded an IISC certificate of honour for his active involvement in the implementation of the IISC decisions.The next IISC session is scheduled to take place in the Republic of Tajikistan.
