In course of the visit, representatives of Rostechnadzor and its TSO consulted the Belarusian party regarding licensing and supervision over nuclear and radiation safety during the commissioning stage of Belarusian NPP, and the evolvement of the regulatory and legal framework of safety regulation in the peaceful use of atomic energy.

Also, as part of the visit to Moscow, the Gosatomnadzor delegation attended the EMERCOM of Russia, where the parties discussed the preparation of a Union State draft concept program “Improving the Approaches to Emergency Preparedness and Response and Regulation of Safety in the Atomic Energy Use”.

On 20 January, A.Aleshin, Chairman of Rostechnadzor, held a meeting with the Gosatomnadzor delegation to summarize the visit. He particularly pointed out that the Russian party, as before, is determined to share with full effort their experience of NPP safety regulation with Belarusian colleagues and render extensive support.

The meetings resulted in a developed list of joint actions for 2017, the implementation of which will start in the nearest future.
