Rostechnadzor and IAEA Conduct School on Drafting Regulations for Countries Embarking in Nuclear Power Programme

From July 8 to July 19, 2019, in Moscow, Rostechnadzor, jointly with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), conducted the interregional training course under the general title “School on Drafting Regulations for Countries Embarking in Nuclear Power Programme.”The event was attended by representatives of the government agencies of Belarus, Egypt, Ghana, Jordan, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Sudan, Uganda, and Uzbekistan.The attendees received theoretical and practical classes aimed at studying the IAEA approaches to the development of draft regulatory documents, as well as to independent development of draft documents by the School students.The participants noted that the information provided by the School was useful from the point of view of practical application in the development of national regulatory documents defining safety requirements for the use of atomic energy.
