Rostechnadzor Authorized to Develop International Cooperation with Foreign States Employing Russian Industrial Technologies
On April 24, 2020, the Government of the Russian Federation adopted Ordinance No. 580, which establishes Rostechnadzor as a body authorized to cooperate with the national authorities of foreign states that regulate industrial safety, which operate, construct, or plan to construct hazardous production facilities of Russian designs.
Rostechnadzor has developed a draft of the said resolution in order to implement the Fundamentals of the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of industrial safety for the period up to 2025 and for the future, approved by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 6, 2018, No. 198.
The draft resolution was preceded by the joint work of Rostechnadzor and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on forming a list of countries where hazardous production facilities of Russian designs are being constructed or to be constructed, and technological equipment for such facilities is being operated or to be operated.
Starting from 2021, Rostechnadzor plans to conduct training workshops at the request of foreign industrial safety regulatory authorities.
