Rostechnadzor delegation holds meetings with heads of regulatory bodies of Egypt and Türkiye at 69th Session of IAEA General Conference

17.09.2025 The Rostechnadzor delegation held bilateral meetings with the management of the regulatory of Egypt and Türkiye. Plans for interagency cooperation and potential joint activities were discussed.

During talks with Samy Shaaban Atallah Soliman, Chairman of the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority, the provision of consulting services to the Egyptian side regarding safety regulation during the implementation of the El Dabaa NPP project was also discussed.

At the meeting with Ibrahim Halil Dere, Vice President of the Turkish Nuclear Regulatory Authority, the organization of information exchange and supervisory experience with the Turkish regulator in the context of safety regulation during the construction of the Akkuyu NPP were discussed.

On September 18, the Rostechnadzor delegation will participate in the meeting of senior regulators from IAEA Member States and attend the IAEA session “Nuclear Power in Motion: Safety of Transportable Nuclear Power Plants.”
