Rostechnadzor takes part in IAEA Nuclear Security Guidance Committee meeting

Maxim Ivanov, deputy head of the Special Security Department of Rostechnadzor, participated in the 28th meeting of the IAEA Nuclear Security Guidance Committee, which was held at the Agency’s headquarters in Vienna from December 1 to 4, 2025. More than 60 representatives from Member States participated in the meeting.

The main issue of the program was the discussion of the results of the IAEA Secretariat’s work on revising the four top-level documents of the Series: the Nuclear Security Fundamentals, NSS 20, and three series of recommendations, NSS 13, 14, and 15, which are fundamental for more than 40 publications of the Series, and are also used by many Member States as basic documents for the establishment and improvement of national nuclear security regimes.

A total of four consultative meetings and one technical meeting were held in 2025. Work on the draft publications will continue in 2026.
