Deputy Chairman Ferapontov pays working visit to Vietnam

17.12.2025 From December 15 to 17, 2025, Alexey Ferapontov, Deputy Chairman of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service, together with a delegation from the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, visited the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to participate in a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety.
The parties held a detailed discussion on the plans for the construction of the Ninh Thuận-1 nuclear power plant and the contents of the corresponding bilateral agreement. The discussion included activities aimed at assisting Vietnam in developing its national regulatory system and establishing safety regulations for the construction and operation of the NPP.

The regulators cooperate under the Agreement between the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service and the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety (under the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) on cooperation in the field of regulation of nuclear and radiation safety in the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes (signed in Hanoi on October 31, 2010).
